Jai Simha Movie Review Positives & Negatives

Nandamuri Balakrishna is back with his next film titled Jai Simha. KS Ravikumar directed this mass entertainer and Nayanathara, Natasha Doshi, Hari Priya are the female leads in the film. Jai Simha released all over today in record number of screens on the occasion of Sankranthi. Chiranthan Bhatt composed the tunes and C Kalyan bankrolled the project. Here is the complete review of the film:

Story:

Jai Simha is the story of Narasimha (Balakrishna) who is a mechanic by profession. He loves his childhood friend Gouri (Nayanathara) but due to some unexpected situations, he gets married to Manga (Hari Priya). He lands in Kumbakonam as time passes and the rest of Jai Simha is all about the situations that led Narasimha marry Manga and stay away from her. Watch Jai Simha to know about the complete story.

Positives:

Balakrishna

Emotional Episodes

Lead actors and their performances

Total drama is Routine but engaging

 Negatives:

 Outdated plot

Dragged narration

Direction

 Performances:

Nandamuri Balakrishna who is known for his packed performance delivers out one more epic performance in Jai Simha. He excelled in the role of Narasimha in both the shades. He has been exceptional in the emotional episodes. Nayanathara has been decent and she shined with perfection. Natasha Doshi and Hari Priya had crisp roles and they have been apt for their assignments. Prakash Raj, Murali Mohan, Ashutosh Rana and Prabhakar did justice for their roles.

The story of Jai Simha looks outdated and old fashioned. The screenplay and the dialogues have been completely flat and they make no impact. The music looks ok and the background score has been decent. The cinematography work is the asset for the film and the production values have been completely lavish. The editing should have been better and the action episodes have been shot on lavish budget. KS Ravikumar fails to impress the audience completely because of his outdated directorial abilities.

ManaCinema.com Rating: 3.5/5
