Tollywood's young Superstar Vijay Devarakonda tasted his career's biggest hit with Geetha Govindam. Made on a budget of Rs 10 crores, the film raked over Rs 70 crores in its final run and ended up as one of the biggest hits in Tollywood. The film is now being remade in several regional languages. Parasuram directed the film and Vijay Devarakonda, Rashmika Mandanna are the lead actors. Geetha Arts bankrolled this romantic entertainer.
If the latest speculations are to be believed, Geetha Govindam will soon be remade in Bollywood. Shahid Kapoor's brother Ishaan Khattar who shot fame with Dhadhak recently has been roped in to play the lead role in the remake and the name of the director is kept under wraps. A top production house will produce this remake and an official announcement will be made soon. Geetha Arts will co-produce this Hindi version and the female lead, other actors are picked up currently.
