SR Kalyanamandapam Movie Review | SR Kalyanamandapam is one small film that caught everyone’s attention. All the three songs composed by Chaitan Bharadwaj impressed the music lovers and added buzz for the film. Kiran Abbavaram and Priyanka Jawalkar are the lead actors in SR Kalyanamandapam that is directed by Sridhar Gade. Elite Entertainment produced SR Kalyanamandapam and the film features Sai Kumar in the other prominent role. SR Kalyanamandapam is releasing in decent number of screens today. Here is the complete review of SR Kalyanamandapam:
Story: SR Kalyanamandapam is the story of Kalyan (Kiran Abbavaram) who is a student and is a careless youngster. He has a bad equation with his father Dharma (Sai Kumar) who owns SR Kalyanamandapam. Dharma spoils the entire assets because of which Kalyan hates his father. He falls in love with Sindhu (Priyanka Jawalkar) and the rest of SR Kalyanamandapam is all about the hurdles, struggles and surprises of Kalyan in this phase. Watch the film to know about the complete story of the film:
Entertainment in parts
Kiran Abbavaram and Sai Kumar
Boring and dragged second half
Performances: Kiran Abbavaram looks perfect as Kalyan and he does the role with ease. The actor is here to stay and his performance happens to be one of the major USP of the film. The film is set in Rayalaseema backdrop and he excelled with his diction and the action episodes. Priyanka Jawalkar is ok in her role and the love story will not work big time. She has enough screen presence and is presented in a glamorous avatar. Sai Kumar as usual delivered his best. He has been top class in the emotional episodes. Thulasi is good and all the other actors did well.
SR Kalyanamandapam has a lean and predictable plot. The screenplay too looks weak though the dialogues worked out at times. The first half of the film is comparatively better but the second half falls flat. The pale writing and the poor narration make the film a boring feast. The music and the background score apart from the performances are the major strengths of the film. The cinematography work is good and the production values are adequate. Director Sridhar Gade fails badly in executing SR Kalyanamandapam in an interesting manner.
Verdict: SR Kalyanamandapam is a boring and predictable commercial entertainer that has enough flaws throughout. Though the emotional scenes work out, the love story and other episodes make the film fall flat.

Nithiin and Tamannaah
Screenplay and twists
Xerox copy of the original
Nithiin keeps the audience breath-holding and the actor offers a perfect treat. He shines in the role of a blind piano player and he is good throughout the film. Tamannaah is the other highlight of the film and she is excellent in the role. Tamannaah looks ultra glamorous in the role though she could not match Tabu from the original. Naresh shines in the short role and Jisshu Sengupta was good as a cop. Nabha Natesh has nothing much to do in the film except during the first half. All the other actors are good in their roles.
Maestro has an interesting plot and the screenplay is the highlight of this crime thriller. The director decided to stick to the original and he did not miss the soul of the film. The music and the cinematography are the added strengths of Maestro. The production values are good and the film is shot across the beautiful locations of Dubai, Hyderabad and Pondicherry. The film’s director Merlapaka Gandhi had enough clarity about dealing the remake of Andhadhun and he did his best.
Maestro is a faithful remake of Andhadhun which has no deviations. The performances and the technical aspects are the strengths of this crime thriller.

Overdose of action
Gopichand carries the entire film on his shoulders and he looks energetic with his performance. He excelled in the action episodes and offers a treat for the masses. Tamannaah has a scope to perform and stun everyone with her glamorous touch. Rao Ramesh plays a meaty role and he is just wow in his role. The episodes between Gopichand and Rao Ramesh are shot well and they elevate the film well. Rahman and Bhumika have prominent roles though they have less screen presence. All the other actors have done their parts well.
Seetimaarr is a formatted commercial film that has a backdrop of Kabaddi. The screenplay is decent and the dialogues will be remembered. The music and the background score are the other highlights of the film. The cinematography work makes the film a treat and the action episodes are presented well. The production values are grand enough. Sampath Nandi and Gopichand make a perfect comeback with Seetimaarr.
Seetimaarr is a decent commercial entertainer that is laced with action, sports drama and emotional episodes in the right amounts. Gopichand packs a punch.

Narration and Execution
Boring in parts
Kangana Ranaut proves once again that she is the finest performer in Indian cinema. The actress shines in the role and she changes herself to slip into the role of Jayalalithaa. She is the perfect choice for the role of Jayalalithaa and she proves it with her performance. Aravind Swamy too transforms well and he delivered his best as MGR in the film. Samuthirakani and Nassar have been flawless in their important roles. The film also has a bunch of Tamil actors and they did their parts well.
Thalaivii is a film that has sound technical aspects. Top writer Vijayendra Prasad worked on the script and his contribution has been remarkable. Thalaivii is inspired by the important aspects of Jayalalithaa’s life. The music and the background score are good and the cinematography is matching. Massive sets are constructed for the film and they make the film look lavish. The production values are adequate.
