The movie crossed Rs 50 crore mark by yesterday and it is expected to have a strong weekend. The theatrical run of Uppena may come to an end by next week. Uppena is directed by Buchi Babu and marked the debut of Vaisshnav Tej, Krithi Shetty in the lead roles. The film was made on a budget of Rs 22 crores and the theatrical rights are valued at Rs 20 crores.

The makers made huge profits and the entire film industry lauded the film. The performances along with the music are the major highlights of Uppena. Vijay Sethupathi played the lead antagonist in Uppena and the film is produced by Mythri Movie Makers. Both Vaisshnav Tej and Krithi Shetty are in huge demand after the release of Uppena.

VenkyKudumula cheated by a Fraudster | Young director Venky Kudumula scored two back to back hits with Chalo and Bheeshma. The young director is on a break and is working on scripts. He fell prey for a fraudster and the news saw light recently. A series of articles were published about the incident with several cooked stories. Venky Kudumula issued an official statement about what all happened. He said that he got a call from Naveen saying that he is a mutual friend of Venky.

For applying for a national award for the concept of organic farming in Bheeshma, Venky was asked to transfer Rs 63,600 and Venky realized that it was a fraud. Soon he filed a complaint in the cybercrime police station. Venky wanted everyone to raise their voice and file a complaint if such incidents took place. He urged everyone not to ignore such incidents as they may increase in the future. He said that it is good for the society if we raise our voice against such incidents.
